Gender equity

Employer of choice for gender equality

UTS is a Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) employer of choice.

This citation recognises that UTS is actively committed to achieving gender equality in the workplace. The UTS WGEA Public Report for 2016 was submitted to the Agency on 01 July 2016.

As part of setting the benchmark in best practice, the Agency recognised UTS's Research Equity Initiative as a leader in supporting academics and researchers with carer responsibilities and promoting gender equity in research.

Athena SWAN

UTS has been selected as one of 33 Australian universities and research organisations to participate in a pilot program to improve the promotion and retention of women and gender minorities in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (STEMM).

Women @ UTS 

The Women @ UTS program provides an opportunity for all women employed at UTS - both academic and professional - to engage in networking and career enhancement opportunites. Forums and discussions with guest speakers are held throughout the year.
